Planning ahead for the winter cold
Every year the weather seems to get more extreme, both in summer and winter. This means that businesses need to start thinking ahead for preparing their commercial premises for winter. Allianz have prepared a great guide for preparing properties for the winter.
The Allianz guide gives great advice on precautions business owners should take with their premises. This includes ensuring all plumbing is adequate, making sure that gutters are clear, business continuity plans are in place and more.
There is not only the threat of cold weather in winter, but also a threat of flooding. According to the Environment Agency, heavy winter rainfall means that 5.5 million properties in England and Wales are at risk of flooding.
This guide also has links to some websites that give further details on protecting properties in winter.
