Good luck in Sunday’s London Marathon, Stuart!
Two days to go!!! On Sunday, Ascend’s Stuart Belbin, Senior Account Executive, will run the London Marathon in aid of Havens Hospices, one of Ascend’s Charities of the Year.
Havens Hospices offers free care and support for people of all ages with complex incurable conditions, and their families, in Essex and Southend. Their motto is ‘making every day count’ - in their hospices, at home and in the community.
Stuart has worked hard in training for the marathon, running in all weathers, learning how to pace himself and gradually building up his stamina. He has been regularly completing 10ks and last week completed a 20-mile run!
He’s hoping all his hard work and dedication pays off and that he completes the marathon in a decent time of around 4hrs 30 – but he simply wants to make it round the 26.2-mile course to raise as much money as he can for Havens.
Do look out for him on Sunday in the fluorescent yellow Havens Hospices’ T–shirt, and don’t forget, there’s still time to sponsor Stuart ahead of the Marathon – and in the days following!
Everyone at Ascend wishes Stuart the very best of luck! You can do it, Stuart! Please sponsor Stuart on his JustGiving page for Havens Hopsices HERE.
