Ascend was delighted to be crowned The Commercial Broker of The Year 2022 at the first insurance awards of the year and a major event in the insurance sector, aiming to highlight and honour innovation and achievement.
Celebrating excellence in the sector, the National Insurance Awards highlight the very best in general insurance provision and management. Featuring 31 categories for companies and teams that demonstrate excellence in their field – from the delivery of specialist brokerage services to the best in HNW insurance provision.
We competed with and fought off some worldwide nationals and we were delighted to have been presented with this award in front of 450 attendees at The Marriott on 9th March 2022.
Managing Director Matthew Collins said: “I’m always proud when what we do is recognised but, for us, The Commercial Broker of The Year is the accolade all our peers want to win. To have won this against some stiff competition is a fantastic result!”

The win is the 7th to be added to the Ascend trophy cabinet, but is the biggest in size and stature to date.
“It’s great to be able to say that we deliver an award-winning product and service. To have told our story and achieved this in less than 5 years from our inception,” says Matthew. “We know that what we do really works for businesses and now we’re sure the industry knows it, too.”
